About the Project

What is InsytH2o? InsytH2o is a community-driven project bringing clean water access to Isintin Olkinyei Village in the Maasai Mara region of Kenya, through a deep solar-powered borehole system.

Why does this community need a borehole? Our mission is to provide the community of Isintin Olkinyei Village and the wider Siana Ward with sustainable, solar-powered access to clean water reducing the daily burden of water scarcity and improving health outcomes for families and children in Narok County.

We envision a future where every household in the Maasai Mara region has reliable access to clean water close to home where the time once spent walking long distances for water is instead spent on education, livelihoods, and community life

How does the borehole system work? The process runs from site survey and funding through drilling, pump installation with community training, water quality testing, and ongoing monitoring to keep the borehole running long-term.

Who is running this project? InsytH2O, A registered Community Based Organization which began with a simple but urgent observation that families in Maasai Mara, Isintin Olkinyei Village, Siana Ward, in Narok West Sub-County, were losing hours every day just to fetch water, time taken away from school, herding, and family life.

What started as an observation grew into a mission to change that reality by developing of a solar-powered borehole system designed to bring safe, reliable water directly to the community sustainably.
