Thousands of people are forced to walk long distances each day to collect water from rivers, shallow wells, and seasonal water points that are often unsafe for human consumption. Contaminated water contributes to the spread of preventable diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and severe stomach infections, placing additional pressure on vulnerable families and local healthcare systems.
